LEARN & PLAY - K/1

Our Learn & Play model for Kindergarten and 1st grade blends STEAM, thematic learning, art, games, and outdoor play into a joyful, hands-on educational experience. Children explore their world through STEAM challenges, story-driven activities, hands-on experiments, creative art projects, and movement-based games that reinforce key concepts while keeping them active and engaged. Outdoor play is an essential part of the day, providing opportunities for exploration, teamwork, and free expression. By combining structured learning with playful discovery, this model fosters a love of learning, problem-solving skills, and social-emotional growth in a nurturing and dynamic environment.

SPANISH ADD-ON (2:30 - 3:30)

Our Conversational Spanish class introduces young learners to the Spanish language through interactive, playful, and immersive experiences. Using songs, stories, movement, and hands-on activities, students naturally absorb vocabulary, pronunciation, and basic conversational phrases. Engaging themes—such as colors, animals, greetings, and daily routines—make learning relatable and fun. Through games, role-playing, and creative projects, children build confidence in speaking and understanding Spanish while developing an appreciation for different cultures. This dynamic, multi-sensory approach ensures that early learners stay engaged, excited, and eager to explore a new language!

2nd - 6th Grade Lab Rotations

CREATIVE EXPRESSION

Our Creative Expressions class is an exciting, dynamic program that lets students explore their imagination through a rotating mix of art, various forms of creative writing, reader’s theater, and more. Each session introduces a new medium of expression, where students can create vibrant art pieces, write imaginative stories, perform in dramatic readings, and experiment with other forms of creative expression. This class fosters self-confidence, collaboration, and creativity, allowing students to discover and develop their unique artistic voices while engaging in fun and interactive activities.

FULL STEAM AHEAD!

Full STEAM Ahead is an engaging, hands-on class that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) to inspire curiosity and innovation. Through project-based learning, students tackle real-world challenges by designing, experimenting, and problem-solving across multiple disciplines. From engineering builds to creative design, this class fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and perseverance, empowering students to develop both technical skills and artistic creativity in a dynamic, exploratory environment.

MATH LAB

The Hands-On Math Lab is a fun and interactive space where students build math fluency while diving into exciting concepts like geometry, measurement, and time. Through creative, hands-on projects, like building models, measuring objects, and solving real-world challenges, students experience math in action. With a focus on critical thinking and problem-solving, the lab turns learning into an adventure where math becomes both fun and practical!

CULTURAL EXPLORATIONS

The Cultural Explorations class offers an immersive experience into the rich diversity of world cultures through a combination of games, art, traditions, and cooking. Students explore different cultures by playing traditional games, creating cultural artwork, learning about unique customs and celebrations, and preparing authentic dishes from around the globe. This hands-on approach fosters a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, encouraging students to actively engage with and understand the world’s many traditions while developing creativity, teamwork, and a global perspective.
