FOSTERING BALANCE: FULL-TIME, HYBRID, AND FRIDAY ENRICHMENT OPTIONS!
All of our programs are built around a thoughtfully designed 4-day academic model with full-time and hybrid attendance options and optional Friday enrichment programs to support a variety of family needs. Full-time students attend Monday through Thursday for consistent, comprehensive instruction across core subjects, while hybrid students attend two or three days with families sharing instructional responsibility to support learning on home-based days. This structure allows for both strong academic continuity and meaningful flexibility. Fridays are reserved for optional enrichment programming—offering engaging, hands-on experiences, social connection, and opportunities to explore interests in a relaxed, community-centered environment.

Our full-scope academic and enrichment programs are intentionally designed to cultivate a lasting love of learning in a balanced, relaxed, and connected environment. We believe learning should be meaningful, creative, hands-on, and joyful—while ensuring every student feels deeply valued, supported, and known within the community. Rooted in a whole-child philosophy, our programs develop strong academic foundations alongside creativity, critical thinking, and confidence through an engaging, quality-over-quantity approach. As students grow, our model evolves with them—thoughtfully increasing in maturity, independence, and rigor—so they develop into capable, confident teens without losing the joy and curiosity that make learning come alive.

Our students are happy, curious, and kind—eager to learn, connect, and build meaningful relationships in a community that truly values each child as an individual. We serve learners who enjoy a smaller, more balanced environment and are geared to students working on/above level. We also welcome hard-working learners with specific, non-behavioral learning challenges such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, or mild processing disorders. To meet each student’s needs, we intentionally group learners by skill level in reading and math, ensuring the right balance of challenge, support, and confidence-building.
At EdVentures, we specialize in reading and math, delivering high-impact, evidence-based instruction for all learners, paired with support or intervention to those who need it, from early literacy through advanced fluency. Grade-based and specialized support cohorts in reading and math ensure every student reaches their full potential.
Weatherstone Academy builds on that strong foundation — deepening fluency and comprehension through an approach that is accessible, engaging, and highly effective!

KidVentures is a theme-filled Friday enrichment program where young homeschoolers dive into hands-on art and craftivities, brain-boosting STEM challenges, great stories, and plenty of outdoor play. Unlike a single-class format, our full or half-day experience gives kids the time and space to truly connect — with ideas, with learning, and with each other. Making real friends is part of the adventure too.

Are You Ready for the Challenge?
Fridays are built differently at Weatherstone Academy! Students select two dynamic skill-building quests in the morning and then enjoy their choice of engaging workshops, maker-space, or social activities in the afternoon...creating one power-packed day of learning and fun! Quest options include Creative Quest (art, drama, film, photography...), Science Quest (pond studies, engineering, building, ecology, nature exploration...), Life Launch (cooking, baking, sewing, financial literacy...), and Survival Quest (camping skills, construction, survival skills, first aid, fishing...). Afternoons offer more open-ended opportunities including guided workshops, maker-spaces, art classes, free choice activities, and so much more!

Our experienced educators offer individualized tutoring and remediation after hours and on weekends in math, reading (Orton-Gillingham), spelling, phonemic awareness, and writing for students who need full remediation, extra support, or simply a boost in confidence. Our experienced educators use research-based strategies tailored to each learner’s needs, helping them build strong foundations, close learning gaps, and develop skills that stick. We provide a supportive, encouraging environment where real progress happens.

EdVentures, LLC, which provides the foundational structure, leadership, and operational oversight to local learning pods in the North Georgia region. EdVentures specializes in thoughtfully designed, small-group education programs that strengthen academics, build confidence, and foster a deep sense of community and belonging among families who share common values and learning goals. EdVentures, LLC ensures each program is built on strong and responsible systems, including sound business practices, compliance with local and state regulations, and staffing procedures. This centralized support allows each pod to operate with clarity, consistency, and stability behind the scenes, giving families confidence in the quality and care of the program, while allowing each program its own unique flair.
Unique Pod Experiences
While EdVentures provides overall management and accountability, each learning pod is designed to reflect its own distinct identity. Every pod was shaped by the needs and values of the local community and brings its own educational philosophy, culture, and “flair" based on the community it serves. This allows programs like EdVentures Pod, Weatherstone Academy, and Field and Fold, to remain flexible and responsive, offering a unique learning experience that feels personal, intentional, and deeply connected to the families who are part of it—while still maintaining a shared commitment to excellence and student growth.
How It Started
EdVentures, LLC began in 2022 with a small, family-centered learning pod serving just 12 students in kindergarten through 6th grade. Students attended two full days per week, plus a half day on Fridays—an intentionally flexible model designed to support both strong academics and family rhythms.
In the following year, the program expanded into age-based pods operating on alternate days, serving approximately 18 students per day and growing in both structure and community impact. By 2024, the original EdVentures pod reached full capacity, serving 30+ students five days per week, while also launching Weatherstone Academy to meet the needs of rising middle schoolers ready for new academic challenges and greater independence.
When asked, “What’s your secret sauce?” the answer is simple: we listen closely to families, observe our students, and design programs that truly fit their needs while building a close-knit, supportive, and connected community. And just as importantly—we believe learning should be joyful. Our programs are intentionally engaging, creative, and yes, a lot of fun, because children deserve an educational experience that sees and develops them as whole people.
Pod Consulting & Oversight Opportunities
EdVentures, LLC partners with families who are interested in starting a learning pod in their own local community. Whether families are looking for light consulting support or full program oversight, EdVentures helps bring these educational visions to life in a structured and sustainable way.
Support can include everything from helping design the program model, selecting curriculum, and shaping the daily schedule, to managing hiring, compliance, and ongoing operational oversight. This flexible approach allows new pods to reflect the values and needs of local families while still benefiting from the experience, systems, and leadership that guide all EdVentures programs.

We specialize in thoughtfully designed, small-group education programs that strengthen academics, build confidence, and foster a deep sense of community and belonging among families who share common values and learning goals. Each of our programs offers a warm, relaxed, and intimate environment where students feel safe, seen, and truly heard. The size of our pods is location-dependent, but typically host approximately 18 - 50 students per day, with an academic cohort ratio of 1:8. These small-group ratios ensures your child gets the personalized attention they need in their academic blocks, while ensuring enough kids for friendship-building and socialization during breaks and social periods.
Across all settings, you’ll find dynamic instruction, hands-on learning, and meaningful, quality-over-quantity assignments that prioritize depth and engagement over busywork. At our core, we believe in the power of connection—community, unity, and support are the foundation of everything we do. We know that students thrive when they are comfortable in their environment, appropriately challenged, well-supported, and genuinely valued by those around them.
Each of our programs was inspired by real kids with real needs—and built with them in mind! We know that every student has a unique learning profile, so each program has its own distinct personality and purpose, thoughtfully designed to meet learners right where they are. We embrace a strengths-based approach, honoring individual differences while providing targeted support, personalized pacing, and purposeful instruction that helps every child grow confidently, both academically and personally.
