FOSTERING BALANCE, BUILDING CONFIDENCE, INSPIRING GROWTH

EdVentures, LLC offers a unique selection of academic and enrichment programs that foster a love for learning in a balanced environment while inspiring  a deep sense of community, connection, creativity, and critical thinking. Our nurturing and respectful environments serve a range of learners including neurotypical, gifted, 2e, and those needing accommodations or support for specific, non-behavioral learning challenges such as anxiety, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and processing challenges. Our curated learning cohorts (1:6 ratio) ensure each child receives the specific support or challenge level needed to inspire confidence and growth!

For the safety of our students, we do not publish our addresses nor do we have signage on our buildings. Our buildings are within 1 minute driving distance of the given crossroads.  Contact for exact address.

Progression-Based Academic Model

We meet students where they are! We focus on progress over perfection, and believe that true learning includes making mistakes, stretching our grit in the face of challenge, and understanding that we CAN do things that may seem hard at first - especially when we have the tools and support to help along the way! In our program, families share the common idea that learning should be meaningful, relaxed, creative, hands-on, and fun!

Our progression-based model places students in academic bands based on their general age group, ranging from primary (K-3rd), elementary (3rd-5th), intermediate (4th-6th), middle (6th-8th), and high school (9th+) We then curate learning cohorts for ELA and math within those those bands and match students to the most suitable cohort based on the level that works best for their knowledge, skills, and emotional readiness. For instance, if a 4th grade student is working at a 5th grade math level, he/she will be placed in 5th grade math for that period. Likewise, if a 3rd grade student has not mastered 2nd grade concepts, he/she will enjoy a successful math experience in the 2nd grade cohort for that class. This ensures that each child receives instruction and rigor that are just right for them. By combining the structure of academic bands with individualized attention, our model effectively serves a wide range of learners, fosters confidence and growth, decreases anxiety, and increases mastery, helping every student thrive!

We use a project-based approach in science and social studies, therefore students are placed in their homeroom band for these subjects.

Built-In
Accommodations

In our program, support is naturally integrated into every subject, so all students can feel successful. Our engaging, hands-on, and multisensory approach combines evidence-based strategies such as the Orton Gillingham approach for reading with a balanced and achievable workload tailored to each learner. We incorporate scaffolds, flexible pacing, and targeted interventions to help students build mastery, confidence, and independence. We avoid the "red-pen" approach, offering progression-based reporting and teacher-reviewed assignments without the pressure of traditional grades through 6th grade. These strategies benefit ALL learners. By embedding these strategies into everyday instruction, every child can fully access the curriculum, stay motivated, and experience success in a way that feels natural and encouraging.

Middle / High

Our curriculum is naturally adaptable and dyslexia-friendly, offering a strong mix of discussion-based learning, teacher-directed lessons, multimodal projects (art, slide shows, visual projects, etc.), reading, and videos. However, beginning in 6th grade, students reading below grade level are offered supportive technology—such as voice-to-text, typing, and calculators—to ensure full access to grade-level learning. Starting in 7th grade, families have the option to receive progression-based reports OR traditional grades.

Remediation opportunities are also available at an additional cost to those who have not received specialized intervention.

We welcome students with non-behavioral academic learning challenges, including struggling readers and writers, students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, processing differences, mild inattentive ADD, executive functioning needs, or those with learning gaps due to academic exposure (school avoidance, low attendance, etc.).

For students whose academic abilities fall outside the appropriate band for their age group in ELA and/or math, we offer small, specialized learning cohorts that use an individualized progression track rather than grade-based standards. Our approach is relaxed and individualized, focusing on progress over a strict time-based remediation, which helps students avoid frustration and anxiety. This structure allows students with significant gaps to receive targeted instruction, build foundational skills, and progress at their own pace, gaining both confidence and mastery at a pace that works for them.

Since all academics are structured in small-group settings (1:6 ratio) students in specialized cohorts never feel "different." All students within academic age bands enjoy homeroom and project-based learning in science and social studies together and remain an active part of the broader community during breaks and enrichment.

OUR LEARNING COMMUNITIES

Each of our learning communities is home to between twelve to thirty students per day depending on the size and purpose of the location. Each has its own unique flair and focus, yet all are united under one administration with a shared philosophy that emphasizes the whole child - preserving childhood while building academic skills, creativity, critical thinking, and confidence. Together, we create a connected, supportive, and joy-filled community where every learner belongs. Each community offers homeschool hybrid options with program-provided home study curriculum and built-in learning support options.

All programs offer progression-based math and ELA - meeting students where they are - and progressing through mastery at a rate that works for each student! Specialized learning cohorts are available for students whose academic progression falls outside of their academic age band.

MORE ABOUT OUR PHILOSOPHY

Empowering Every Learner: Accommodate, Accelerate, Acheive!

We specialize in thoughtfully designed, small-group education programs that strengthen academics, build confidence, and foster a deep sense of community and belonging among families who share common values and learning goals. Each of our programs offers a warm, relaxed, and intimate environment where students feel safe, seen, and truly heard. As a learning pod, our sweet spot is approximately 18 - 24 students per day, with an academic cohort ratio of 1:6. These small-group ratios ensures your child gets the personalized attention they need in their academic blocks, while ensuring enough kids for friendship-building and socialization during breaks and social periods.

Across all settings, you’ll find dynamic instruction, hands-on learning, and meaningful, quality-over-quantity assignments that prioritize depth and engagement over busywork. At our core, we believe in the power of connection—community, unity, and support are the foundation of everything we do. We know that students thrive when they are comfortable in their environment, appropriately challenged, well-supported, and genuinely valued by those around them.

Each of our programs was inspired by real kids with real needs—and built with them in mind! We know that every student has a unique learning profile, so each program has its own distinct personality and purpose, thoughtfully designed to meet learners right where they are. We embrace a strengths-based approach, honoring individual differences while providing targeted support, personalized pacing, and purposeful instruction that helps every child grow confidently, both academically and personally.

How it all began...

EdVentures started in 2022, with only 12 students in kindergarten through 6th grade attending 2 days per week and half a day on Friday. The following year, we expanded to offering age-based pods on alternate days, with approximately 18 students per day. By 2024, the EdVentures pod was "full house" operating 20+ students five days per week AND launching Weatherstone Academy to accommodate our rising 6th graders who were ready for their next educational challenge! One parent asked, "What's your secret sauce?" The answer is simple - we listen to families, observe our students, and curate programs that fit their educational wants and needs while building a close-knit community that offers support, enrichment, and connectivity. Oh - and we are also REALLY fun and believe that kids deserve an educational experiences that sees them as a whole person!

Uniquely curated programs, one great community!

Joining one of our programs means that your child will enjoy a robust learning experience in an intimate setting, with all the perks of being part of our larger community.  For instance, if you register for the LEAP hybrid, you are welcome to participate in a Parents' Night Out at EdVentures! As our community grows, we are able to provide more and more offerings that serve our families, including three unique options for Friday Enrichment programs, cultural fairs, academic showcases, regularly scheduled family field trips, Parents' Night Out, summer enrichment opportunities, volunteer projects, and our student favorite - the EdV Kids' Business Fair, and more!

Our application is a one-stop-shop for all programs. To begin, you will set-up a tour at your program of preference with the director. We then extend a free shadow day so your student can get a feel for our vibe. If we seem like a great fit, you will begin the application process via our admissions page

Our programs are more alike than different!

While each of our programs has a unique focus and flair, we have many threads in common, including our overall "vibe," quality of teachers, flexible schedule option, tiered-rigor approach, and learning support options. All of our programs offer engaging academics, hands-on learning, and a sense of belonging.  Listed below are the ideals and approaches that you will find in each environment. Click on individual programs to learn more about the specific differences in curriculum and rigor.

Flexible Schedules

We offer full time, hybrid, and enrichment programs. Families can select a comprehensive 4-5-day track, 2-3 day hybrid option that provides curriculum for home-based focus days, or join us on Fridays for a full day of academic enrichment and socialization!

Tiered-Rigor Options

All of our programs offer tiered-rigor options, Tiered-rigor options provide both accommodations and opportunities for acceleration as needed. Each assignment is scaled to the student, with options to complete just the essentials, work to mastery, or accelerate learning through added projects and deep-dives.

While instruction is geared to core skills and standards, EdVentures and Weatherstone offer academic leveling, accommodations, learning support, and/or remediation options for students with specific, non-behavioral learning challenges such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, executive functioning challenges, or mild processing disorders.

Cozy Vibes

Our vibe is relaxed, joyful, creative, and deeply intentional. We blend cozy, welcoming spaces with meaningful academics, creating an atmosphere where students feel safe, seen, and supported. Each of our programs offers a 1:6 ratio, ensuring attention and care for each child. There’s laughter, curiosity, fresh air, and room to grow—academically, socially, and personally.

Teachers

Our teachers are highly qualified, dynamic professionals who have a passion for teaching at an individualized level and embrace a family-forward environment. All hold a Bachelor or Masters degree in education and/or are highly experienced professionals in their area of instruction.

Instructional Approach

Our instructional approach is student-centered, hands-on, and rooted in respect. We focus on building core skills through direct teaching, creative projects, and research-based methods. Teachers value student voice, honor individual needs, and create a learning environment that nurtures confidence, curiosity, and growth.

Elementary K - 6th

Our elementary programs build strong foundations while nurturing curiosity and creativity. Students engage in core subjects—math, science, social studies, and ELA—alongside enriching experiences in STEAM, art, and project-based learning. With small class sizes, personalized pacing, and a whole-child approach, we create a joyful, supportive environment where kids grow in confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

Middle School 6th - 8th

All of our middle school programs offer a fun and dynamic learning experience geared to the specific needs of this 'tween' age group. While courses are similar between locations, the social vibe and academic rigor levels are quite different. Sixth graders who enjoy a more relaxed and social experience may enjoy a final year at EdVentures. Astute and creative middle schoolers will love our arts-forward LEAP program. While middle schoolers who are ready for a more traditional, yet supportive environment, should look at Weatherstone Academy.

High School 8th+

Our high school programs offer all core classes and necessary electives to earn a standard diploma and/or university-ready transcript. All of our courses offer a blend of reading, research and reporting, comprehension & application activities, labs, and interest-based hands-on projects. The depth, rigor, and level of learning support vary between programs. Astute 8th graders may take high school courses for credit.
